You Can Now Make Trash & Recycling Payments Electronically

The Borough has recently contracted with MuniciPAY to now allow our residents and landlords to pay their municipal Trash & Recycling bills on-line. You will find a link on the Trash & Recycling page directing you to the "Pay Your Bill" option. Here's a quick rundown of how it's done:
A Service Offered by MuniciPAY
The Borough of Nazareth’s commitment to provide efficient, convenient and reliable service to its residents led us to contract with MuniciPay to offer secure acceptance of electronic payment of your Trash/Recycling Bills. These bills can now be accepted online using your credit card or electronic check. Paying by Credit Card or Electronic Check is only available through the web portal.
Credit Card Payments
Now you can pay your Trash/Recycling Bill by using our online payment service. Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction convenience fee of 2.65% will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.
Electronic Check Payments
We now also accept electronic check payments using our online payment service. Payments will be charged to your checking or savings account at your bank. You will need your 9-digit routing number, as well as your account number. A per transaction convenience fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.

IMPORTANT IF PAYING BY E-CHECK:
When Payment Options appears, click on the “Switch to Pay with Check” link and then continue entering your information.
More Information and Examples
A confirmation number will be provided. Please write down this number as a record of your payment. The charge will appear on your credit card or bank statement – the Trash & Recycling Fee's amount is on one line and the convenience fee is on a separate line.
Payment will be posted within two days of the transaction.
Example
If you pay the Trash/Recycling Bill of $90.00 with the Credit Card service an additional fee of $2.39 (2.65% of the total transaction) will be charged to your credit card. You will see two (2) charges on your credit card statement. The first charge being $90.00 and the second one being $2.39.
If you pay the Trash/Recycling Bill of $90.00 with the Electronic Check service an additional fee of $1.50 will be withdrawn from your checking account as the transaction fee.
**The Convenience fee is not returned to the Borough, all convenience fees are retained by MuniciPAY.
Note that this is only for the Borough of Nazareth Trash & Recycling charges and not for any bills sent by the Borough Municipal Authority, i.e. water/sewer. You may not combine payments to the Borough of Nazareth and Borough Municipal Authority.

Cash, check or money orders currently accepted:
- Embassy Bank – 10 N. Main St. – normal hours M-F 9am - 5pm, Saturdays 9am- Noon - drop box always available (on same side as drive-thru)
- ESSA Bank – 76 S. Main St. – normal hours M-F 9am - 5pm, Saturdays 9am- Noon - drop box always available (inside vestibule)
If you use the auto pay option with your bank – Please be sure to make payable to the Borough of Nazareth – and mail to either Embassy Bank - 10 N Main St. Nazareth, PA 18064 OR ESSA Bank - 76 S. Main St. Nazareth, PA 18064
