Police Department - Parking Ticket Options

• OPTION 1: Pay the schedule 0-5 Days Fine to the Nazareth Borough Police Department. This is the lowest cost to the violator. Please refer to your ticket for the exact amount.
  
  
• OPTION 2: Wait until after five (5) days and pay the schedule 6-19 Days Fine to the Nazareth Borough Police Department. However, waiting will cost the violator additional money, sometimes as much as double the original fine. Please refer to your ticket for the exact amount.
  
  
• OPTION 3: Designed for those persons who would like to dispute the parking ticket -
  
  Wait twenty (20) days and do not pay any fines, which will cause the parking ticket to convert to a Commonwealth Court Citation. The citation will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle.
  
  At this time, you have the option to plead “NOT GUILTY” to the citation. (See instructions on citation). Upon the District Court receiving your "NOT GUILTY" plea, you will be notified of your court date. Please be advised that this is the costliest option if found guilty, as there are additional court costs involved along with the fines.
  
  If the District Court Judge finds the defendant "Not Guilty", there is no cost involved. Note: If found guilty at the District Court level, the defendant can appeal that verdict at the County Court level. That process will be explained at District Court.
